Hello! My name is Andriana Buianova, I am a ceramic artist and an existential analyst.
I create vessels as metaphors for the human being. In their structure, I use imperfection and cracks not as defects, but as sources of authenticity and depth.
It is precisely the ability to embrace mismatch that allows me to find joy in discovering myself and those close to me. This theme is inseparably connected to my many years of research in existential philosophy and my work as a psychoanalyst.
My process begins with an initially “perfect” form on the potter’s wheel. Then I intervene: integrating and creating new elements. I deliberately overload the glazes, allowing chance to reveal what is hidden.
Thus, the form becomes a dialogue between system and individuality, creating a special space for imperfection and vulnerability.
Today, we are held captive by countless demands; my task is to expose them and show that beauty is born not from conformity, but where mismatch, fracture, and openness to uncertainty manifest.
